One of Sadam Engineering’s more innovative projects was the industrial system for the production of crystalline grape sugar for Naturalia Ingredients in Mazara del Vallo (Trapani), launched in July 2012. Naturalia Ingredients is a new company created by the joint venture between Eridania Sadam and Cantine Fornaci, a well-known Sicilian company specializing in the viticultural sector. Its mission is to become the leader in the production and commercialisation of natural sugars produced from grapes, extracted by an innovative process that was patented worldwide in 2009.

The system designed and built by SENG was the first in the world to produce grape sugar in a crystalline form, completely natural and of the highest purity. The factory boasts impressive numbers: surface area of 30,000 sq. m and maximum production capacity of 9,000 tonnes annually of crystalline sugars.
